Visit to Graham and Sarah's and Yosemite

The second weekend in May, we visited Graham and Sarah in Bass Lake. On Friday we drove into Yosemite (Ellery's first time in the park!). We had lunch on a beach on the Merced River and then hiked to Sierra Point.

Sarah, Ellery, Murphy and I went to Bass Lake on Saturday while the guys climbed in the valley.

Visit to Grandpa's cabin

Two weekends ago, Shelby & Jason went with us to my dad's cabin in Bear Valley.

 The snow had melted enough that you could drive partway to the cabin from the highway, and only had to hike the last 10 minutes.

 Ellery and Grandpa had lots of bonding time.

 On Saturday we hiked at Alpine Lake to Inspiration Point.

We saw bear prints, and the dogs were sniffing around when we got to the top, so I think we were close the lair.

 On Sunday we went to Calaveras Big Trees State Park. There are hundreds of Dogwoods starting to bloom! We wished we had been there 2 weeks later when they were fully blooming, but it was still pretty breath taking.
